Part-time; $16.26 to $19.88/hour plus prorated benefits.

The City of The Dalles Police Department has an opening for a Part Time Dog Control Officer. This position is responsible for the enforcement of Oregon State Statutes and City of The Dalles Ordinances concerning dog control.

The successful applicant with have a working knowledge of animal care and handling, particularly canine (i.e., breeds, diseases); of animal Control Laws, ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public; ability to operate motor vehicles; ability to prepare reports and to keep records; some typing ability; physical strength to withstand strain or performing heavy lifting.

Requires: High School Diploma (or equivalent); Valid Driver’s License
