Cormorants now under seige: Tiny & Reese will light up your life

Cormorants now under seige

See this story from OPB, including a fascinating video, as well as info about public hearings to determine how to reduce the number of cormorants eating salmon in the Columbia River.

I think it’s interesting that in the river California sea lions, Steller sea lions and cormorants  are all under siege because they need to eat fish to live. But if the 400+ dams on the river didn’t destroy so many fish, predation by other types of wildlife would have a negligible impact.

Tiny and Reese will light up your life

Tiny is a high energy kitty and really loves to be around people and other cats. You can find him at Columbia Gorge Cat Rescue.

Reese is an adult female Chihuahua who loves to cuddle and is sweet as pie. A retired couple would suit her just fine. She’s currently available at Home At Last.
