The Oregon and Washington Departments of Fish and Wildlife have placed a trap at The Dalles Marina on the Columbia River to try to capture California sea lions that have made their way above Bonneville Dam. See the rest of the story at ODFW.

Dog cruelty case concludes with plea deal

Goldendale resident Eric David Calvin this month pleaded guilty to animal cruelty in a case resulting from the rescue of 106 Shar Pei dogs from his residence. See the rest of the story in the Goldendale Sentinel. Also see an earlier Animals of the Gorge post on this subject.

Comments due soon on Caspian Tern management draft
